Randolph Markham Apps: What You Need to Know
Around 3:30 p.m., Boerne police reported that Randolph Markham Apps lost control of his 1930s Ford coupe while driving west on IH-10 and crashed into concrete barriers.
Apps was violently ejected from his car just after passing the Highway 46 overpass and found lifeless on the side of the interstate. Response teams including Boerne police, a Texas DPS trooper, and Kendall County EMS arrived at the scene to give Apps first aid but sadly pronounced him dead upon arrival.
DPS said that the lack of seatbelts, airbags, and modern suspension in the 1930s coupe, as well as uneven lanes in the construction area, contributed to causing the crash.
There have now been three traffic-related deaths on IH-10 in Boerne in 2022.
